Supernatural: Season 11


Supernatural is a popular mystery TV series, which is aired on The CW channel in the USA. The main characters are the Winchester brothers, Sam and Dean, who are traveling the US for many years and exterminating various supernatural beings. The taglines of the series are: “What you don’t understand can kill you” and “Get Ready for Purgatory.”

The first episode was aired on September 13, 2005, and since then, fans can watch their favorite characters on the screen for 10 seasons. The most recent season, 7th, was out on the screens on October 7, 2014.

The 11th season of Supernatural is not confirmed yet. If the filming is approved, then the new episodes will, traditionally, be out in fall 2015.


The creator of the TV series is an American writer, director and producer Eric Kripke. Among his works, a Boogeyman series of horror films and a Revolution sci-fi TV series are worth mentioning.

Supernatural is aired on a popular TV channel, The CW, which produces such shows as Arrow, The Vampire Diaries, Reign, The 100, etc.

The Winchester brothers have been on their tough path for a very long time. When they were little boys, their mother died under very strange and mysterious circumstances. Their father made finding out the truth his life purpose, and young Dean and Sam were helping him.

One day, their father disappears too, and they simply have to solve the mystery of their father’s disappearance and their mother’s death. Since then, they have been circling the States on their black Chevrolet Impala and investigating different supernatural cases.

Interesting Facts

Supernatural has gotten several spin-offs. In 2010, a web series titled Ghostfacers came out, and in 2014, another TV series Supernatural: Bloodlines was in production. However, the latter was cancelled.

The show might have had a completely different central idea. According to one of the versions, the story might have been told by a reporter who investigates mysterious and strange accidents. In the end, a well-known version of a story of the two brothers was accepted.

The Winchester brothers have gotten their names as a homage to the On the Road novel by a famous American writer Jack Kerouac. The original names of Kerouac’s characters were Sam Paradise and Dean Moriarty.

The series has had a great impact on the contemporary popular culture. Apart from the TV show, there are Supernatural comic books and a game. The series has been nominated more than once for such awards as George and Saturn.

Everyone who likes Supernatural should pay attention to other similar TV shows, including The X-Files, Fringe, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
