Silicon Valley is a comedy TV Series produced in the USA. The creators and the authors of the project are Mike Judge, John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky. Central characters of the show are six young men dealing with their startup project in Silicon Valley. The first episode of Silicon Valley premiered on the 6th of April 2014. Broadcast by HBO.

Plot

The action of Silicon Valley takes place in 1980s. It’s the time of extreme development of technology and electronic devices. Silicon Valley is filled with people most intelligent to succeed. Well, if they’re not extremely smart, they’re wise enough to get the first hold of the success. This comedy TV series is partially inspired by the experienced that Mike Judge had while being an engineer at silicon valley in the 80s.

Cast

  • Thomas Middleditch acts as Richard Hendricks. He graduated from Stanford University. He’s a real tech giant. Richard is shy and quiet, however sometimes he bursts out in extreme anger from time to time. He’s never afraid to face the progress of modern business world.
  • J. Miller acts as Erlich Bachman. He’s a self-confident entrepreneur who created an innovation home incubator. He later becomes on of the board’s directors in the company. He’s the one who realizes that Erlich, a frequent marijuana user, can be useful in their business.
  • Josh Brener acts as Nelson Bighetti called "Big Head". Works at Hooli. Big Head participates in Gavin Belson’s promotion.  Later he gets sacked from the Nucleus project cause he turned out to be not as experienced and educated as it was needed.
  • Martin Starr acts as Bertram Gilfoyle. He’s a network engineer from Canada. Promotes himself as online security expert. System administration is his second responsibility.  Sometimes plays pranks on Dinesh, however they get on well with each other.
  • Kumail Nanjiani acts as Dinesh Chugtai. He’s a cool programmer from Islamabad. He’s an acerbic and sarcastic person expressing the same sarcastic feelings to all the members of the group. Sometimes behaves amoral.

Release Date

Season 1 was made up of 8 episodes. HBO prolonged the series for a season 2 and the premiere episode was released on the 12th of April 2015.Right after the release of the first episode, HBO made an official announcement about the renewal of Silicon Valley for season 3. The premiere episode was released on the 24th of April 2016. Right after the second season started, HBO made an official announcement about the renewal of the series for season 4. Planned for 2017, but the release date is to be scheduled.
