One of the greatest epic fantasy tales nowadays! New episodes of the first season of Shannara Chronicles are going to start in the beginning of January, 2016. MTV has announced that the first episode will be shown on January 5, 2016 right after new Teen Wolf episodes. The popular American fantasy series are based on a series of science-fiction books "Shannara" created by Terry Brooks. The show was initially directed by Jon Favreau. Then the director changed and Jonathan Liebesman was involved into it. Jon Favreau decided to stay as the producer of the series.
The science-fiction epic drama will consist of 10 episodes, 60 minutes each. New Zealand was chosen for the shooting, providing the series with truly amazing visual effects and shocking, eye-catching scenery. The general external atmosphere reminds of the epic Lord Of The Rings.

Plot
Ancient evil is ready for the total destruction of every living creature on the planet.
The epic action takes place in the far future of North America. Four Lands exist in the world of this story. Elves live in the first one, the second is inhabited by usual people, the third one is populated by trolls and the last one – by dwarfs. This magical kingdom has a long-standing war with evil creatures and demons of the magical fantasy world.
The future of our planet depends on the results of the battles between humans and magical creatures for the Sword of Shannara.
Druid Allanon left for a dangerous journey in order to save the world. Brin Ohmsford, Wil Ohmsford’s daughter helps him, cause she’s got the power of wish song. But the future seems to be rather gloomy – the evil is going to trap Brin for a fate a lot more terrible than death.
