One of the greatest epic fantasy tales nowadays! New episodes of the first season of Shannara Chronicles are going to start in the beginning of January, 2016. MTV has announced that the first episode will be shown on January 5, 2016 right after new Teen Wolf episodes. The popular American fantasy series are based on a series of science-fiction books "Shannara" created by Terry Brooks. The show was initially directed by Jon Favreau. Then the director changed and Jonathan Liebesman was involved into it. Jon Favreau decided to stay as the producer of the series.

The science-fiction epic drama will consist of 10 episodes, 60 minutes each. New Zealand was chosen for the shooting, providing the series with truly amazing visual effects and shocking, eye-catching scenery. The general external atmosphere reminds of the epic Lord Of The Rings.

The director of the show became famous and internationally accepted after a wide-known fantastic science-fiction project "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".

The Original Shannara Trilogy was written by Terry Brooks and the TV adaption was created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.

The tension will keep you on the edge of your seat while you watch the magical characters enter a secret Storehouse of Knowledge to protect all living creatures from demons of Despair and Ignorance.
