Story

It is just the time after WWII. The main character of the show is Claire Randall, a nurse. She and her husband named Frank comes to Inverness. One day, the woman accidently appears in the middle of a skirmish while observing the stones. Clair is attacked by the double of Frank. Likely, Scotsmen rescue the woman. She can use her skills help Jamie who got injured. Claire finds out that Randall is an ancestor of Frank. As it becomes clear, the woman appears in 1743.

Because she has some useful skills, she starts working at a castle. Unfortunately, she remains a prisoner and cannot go anywhere. She has to come back to those stones to try to return home. She becomes closer with Jamie. She finds out that the Scotsmen collect funds for the need of the army. As she knows from the history, they are going to face a failure and lots of people will unavoidably die. Claire decides to do something about it.
