Bates Motel season 4 comes back that will continue the drama thriller currently airing on the A&E channel. The series was developed by Kerry Ehrin (Parenthood), Anthony Cipriano (100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd) and Carlton Cuse (Lost). Cuse and Ehrin serve as executive producers on Bates Motel season 4 along with Mark Wolper (created by Bait Car), Roy Lee (I’m from Rolling Stone) and John Powers Middleton (created by The Lego Movie).
Bates Motel season 4 release date was announced for March 7, 2016 and the first episode of the 4th season will be broadcasted on A&E channel at 9pm ET/PT.
Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore will come back as Bates Motel season 4 premiere. As for the supporting roles Max Thieriot, Olivia Cooke, Nicola Peltz, Carbonell, Ian Hart, John Cassini, Mike Vogel, Jere Jere Burns will also take part in the 4th season.
The series Bates Motel follows the lives of Norman Bates and his mother Norma before the events depicted in the movie and it is set in the modern setting. The plot of the previous three season will continue to develop until the shocking finale.
The show start with such storyline – six months after the sudden death of her husband Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga), along with 17-year-old son Norman (Freddie Highmore) is buying a motel in the town of White Pine Bay in Oregon. The new school Norman manages to attract the attention of the popular girls Bradley Martin (Nicola Peltz), and she takes him to a party with friends. English teacher Miss Watson takes him under his wing and offers to take part in school activity. In the evening, when Norman hanging out with Bradley, the motel breaks its former owner Keith Summers, he attacks and rapes her norm. Back home, Norman knocks rapist and Norma kills him. Mother and son throw the body into the bay.
They almost caught by Sheriff Romero (Nestor Carbonell) and his assistant Shelby (Mike Vogel). Norman keeps the belt of the killed victim, but later this evidence disappears. It turns out that it was taken by Shelby to protect norm. In the city there is the eldest son of the norms of another father Dylan (Max Thieriot), prone to scandals and violence, and the tension will grow at the horrible motel.
- As you may have guessed, Bates Motel season 4 will continue the tell the story about the psychotic family of The Bates – son and mother – remaining a "contemporary prequel" to Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 classic thriller Psycho that was based on Robert Bloch’s eponymous novel;
- In Bates Motel season 1 premiere the audience had a chance to see another family member of the infamous family – the Norman’s brother Dylan;
- Bates Motel season 4 will still be produced by the team of Friday Night Lights and Lost producers;
- The storyline of Bates Motel is set in a different timeline as well as in a different fictional town (White Pine Bay, Oregon, as opposed to the location in the original movie Fairvale, California).
