The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature is an animated comedy film planned to be released in the end of summer of 2017. That’s a 3D animation created under the direction of Cal Brunker with the script created by Cal Brunker together with Bob Barlen and Scott Bindley. The film is going to be the sequel to the animated film released in 2014. The original movie was entitled The Nut Job. The voice cast includes Gabriel Iglesias, Jeff Dunham, Katherine Heigl, Jackie Chan, Bobby Cannavale and others. The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature release date is already announced. - Will Arnett shares voice with a purple squirrel named Surly. He constantly accompanies Buddy. Local park folks consider him to be a hero because he’s managed to save them from a lack of food. The trouble is that they have no idea he’s been the one who caused it.
- Gabriel Iglesias voices a groundhog named Jimmy. He’s a brother of Johnny and Jamie and also the head of the Bruisers crew consisting of his brothers and sisters.
- Jeff Dunham shares a voice with a mole referred to as Mole. Works under command of Andie.
- Katherine Heigl shares her voice with a red squirrel named Andie. She’s a faithful friend of Surly.
- Maya Rudolph shares voice with a pug named Precious. Some time ago belonged to Lucky and Fingers.
- Jackie Chan voices the head of a street mouse gang named Mr. Feng.
- Bobby Moynihan shares voice with an Oakton City Mayor character that has no name in the film.
- Bobby Cannavale voices a pet of the mayor named Frankie – a French bulldog who develops romantic feeling to Precious.
- Peter Stormare portrays an officer dealing with stray animal control named Gunther.
- Sebastian Maniscalco voices a groundhog named Johnny. On of Jimmy and Jamie’s siblings. Joe Pingue voiced him in the original film.
- Kari Wahlgren voices another groundhog named Jamie – a sister of Jimmy and Johnny. Annick Obonsawin voices her in the first film.
- Isabela Moner voices a spoiled daughter of the mayor named Heather.
Plot
Surly, Buddy, Andie and Precious get to know that the mayor of their town has some indecent plans. He’s planning to build a huge amusement park. To create it he will have to get rid of some of the houses of the locals, including the one of the main characters. Throughout the film, they have to deal with the spoiled daughter of the mayor and a crazy officer dealing with animal control.
The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature Release Date
The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature is planned for the release on the 18th of August 2017. The release is carried out by Gulfstream Pictures together with Open Road Films.
