Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka

J.C.Staff studio is now working on the renewal of the series. The premiere of the series was on April 3, 2015. It was firstly broadcast on some Japanese channels and cable networks. A bit later the show appeared on Crunchyroll in North America. The creators are thinking about starting a new season in summer 2016, cause the main character turned out to be strangely attractive and charming, but the exact release date is unknown yet.

The series is about an adventurer looking for some new impressions. The show is all humor, action and great animation. The plot is quite fresh and worth a watch.

STORY

The action takes place in the city named Orario. It is also widely famous as “Dungeon” – a vast labyrinth situated under the city. The strange name makes it popular around tourists and lovers of risky, unpredictable adventures. This city creates the atmosphere of excitement, mystery, horror and romance at a time. This city, filled with desires and dreams attracts a new adventurer – Bell Cranel. A cute, tiny and lonely goddess Hestia accompanies him. This is the way the story starts – a lonely adventurer looking for a new inspiration and a fairy waiting for the new followers. On the way to their goals, they are also in search for some fresh romance on the side. 

But this adventurer is not going to be a real hero – he’s weal and the only thing he’s thinking about is romance with girls – he’s not very bright and his only dream is to make a girl fall in love with him by saving her from a monster, for example. The things are getting strange when a girl saves Bell in the end… There’ll be many girls around the main character and we’re going to have a real harem comedy in a fantasy atmosphere.

INTERESTING

The “Hey World” soundtrack for the series is performed by Yuka Iguchi and “Right Light Rise” is performed by Kanon Wakeshima.

The American version title of the series is “Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?” The short worldwide version title is “DanMachi”.
