We all might remember the Rambo films from our childhood. Well, the first ones may even be older than most of us. Rambo: First Blood was out in 1982, and after that the world saw three more chapters. Right now, according to various sources, Rambo: Last Blood is in production with Sylvester Stallone starring in the movie. So when will we finally see the next mission of John Rambo?

Let us cut to the chase: there will be the fifth installment of Rambo. The film rights have been acquired, and the crew is about to start working on John Rambo’s story. Naturally, Sylvester Stallone will play the main character in Rambo: Last Blood.

Plot

The production companies Millennium Films and Nu Image had posters of Rambo V at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010. They were planning on making TV series, whether with or without Stallone. However, a German company Splendid Film took all the initiative to make the final Rambo feature film. Avi Lerner (The Expendables, Lovelace, Stolen) will be the producer, and, supposedly, Stallone himself has been writing the script since the summer 2014. It is rumored that, this time, Rambo will be fighting against a Mexican drug cartel.

Sylvester Stallone played John Rambo since 1982 till 2008, and it’s about time for him to do the role once more. He wrote the script for the latest installment and produced it as well. The film grossed $113 million, while its budget was $50 million, which was a very good result. Currently, Rambo is one of the most long-living franchises.
