The film Denial was created on the base of a novel History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier. The film’s protagonist Deborah E. Lipstadt (the author of the novel, portrayed by Rachel Weisz). In the court, she has to face David Irving (played by Timothy Spall). Lipstadt called him a Holocaust denier. Irving rejected and Lipstadt was accused of libel. Now she’s bearing a burden of proof on her side and has to stand her ground to prove she’s right. She is a member of a legal team led by Richard Rampton (portrayed by Tom Wilkinson).
