Annabelle 2 is a horror and mystery movie planned to be released in the middle of August this year. The direction matters are carried out by David F. Sandberg. The script was created by Gary Dauberman. The film is created as a sequel to Annabelle horror film released in 2014. It’s going to be the second installment of Annabelle in the franchise. Besides, it’s the fourth part of The Conjuring series of films. The cast of the upcoming horror film includes Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Anthony LaPaglia, and Miranda Otto. Plot
The story concentrates on a man able to skillfully create dolls. He’s married to a woman, with whom he lives for all his life. They lost their daughter because of her tragic death about 20 years ago and now they do their best to continue living together trying to forget about the horrible past. One day a local orphanage closes and they decide to let some of the kids together with the nun live in their house. Their shelter becomes a concentration of horrific and shocking happenings because of one of the dolls that turns out to be a possessed creation of a talented, but desperate doll maker.
Production
The sequel for Annabelle was confirmed in autumn of 2015. In March of 2016, David F. Sandberg was chosen to direct the project. Gary Dauberman was the first one to be assigned to create the script. Peter Safran and James Wan dealt with production matters.
In June of 2016, the first members of the cast were announced. They were Stephanie Sigman, Miranda Otto, and Talitha Bateman. In no more than a month, the other members of the cast were announced officially. Lotta Losten, the wife of Sandberg’s is one of the main collaborators into the movie. She’s going to appear in the film for several times.
The official soundtracks for the film were composed by Benjamin Wallfisch. The filming and photography started on the 27th of June 2016 in LA at Warner Bros. Studios. It finished on the 15th of August 2016.
Annabelle 2 Release Date
The initial release date was planned for the 19th of May 2017. However, later the date was moved to the 11th of August 2017. This way the producers decided to get rid of the competitiveness with Alien: Covenant planned to be released in May of the same year.
