It’s an American comedy series made by John Altschuler, Mike Judge and Dave Krinski. The premiere appeared in April of 2014. The first season was made up of 8 episodes. The series was renewed for the second and for the third season. The official release date is the 13th of April 2016.

Plot
Richard Hendricks is the protagonist of the story. He is a shy and unsociable programmer at Hooli company. He is also busy creating a music application called Pied Piper. His co-workers always laugh at his ideas and mock at him. However, some of his co-workers understand, that the project Richard’s working at is very successful and sensible. The application he invented has a science-breaking algorithm of compression. Richard has proposed a $200,000 investment into his new project. He also gets 5% ownership in the company where he works. This money turns out to be the equivalent price of the company itself and this way Richard gets a chance to create his personal Pied Piper team.

Mike Judge, one of the creators of the series worked as a programmer on a fighter plane. In 1987 he lived in Silicon Valley. There he decided to join Parallax – it’s a very small startup company with only 40 employees – there he started working as an engineer. He hated his co-workers for their attitude and ways of work and decided to quit this job as fast as possible. This experience made him create the background for the series about the way the things happening in companies with region’s people. He understood that people that seem unable to have the best chances to succeed – the only thing they need is to get support and sensible attitude.
Christopher Evan Welch died during the creation of the fifth episode – he had lung cancer. The directors had to fully rewrite the scripts for the second season.
The original soundtrack written for the series is Tobacco’s “Stretch Your Face”.
