Gifted is a drama film getting ready to be released in spring of this year in the USA. Direction is carried out by Marc Webb and the cast includes Chris Evans, Mckenna Grace, Lindsay Duncan, Jenny Slate and Octavia Spencer. One of the main characters of the film is named Frank. He’s single and his most important life destination is his niece named Mary. She’s a prodigy kid developing with every single day, that’s why raising her up like a normal child doesn’t work. The gifted girl needs certain care due to her peculiarities. The trouble is that Frank is in constant custody battle with his own mom, Mary’s grandmother. Marc Webb’s works hasn’t always been successful. One of his last films, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 turned out to be disappointing both for the critics and for the viewers. Sony wished to get no less than $1 billion for it, however, they managed to get only about $700. Nevertheless, Webb decided not to stop this battle paying no attention to the weak points of the franchise. That’s a brilliant film about a caring uncle willing to bring up his dead sister’s daughter that is evidently a very special kid.

Plot

Frank Adler (portrayed by Chris Evans) lives alone. He’s not actually interested in any romantic relationships doing his best to raise a prodigy daughter of his dead sister. His niece’s name is Mary (portrayed by Mckenna Grace). She’s 7 years old. Together they live in a cozy town on the coast of Florida. Frank’s niece studies in a usual school. One day the girl starts demonstrating incredible abilities in mathematics. Frank’s mom named Evelyn (portrayed by Lindsay Duncan) pays attention to it and is also willing to bring up her daughter and lead her to a better future. Frank gets worried because he’s afraid to lose his beloved niece.

There are more characters in this thrilling and touching story. Mary and Frank’s landlady named Roberta (portrayed by Octavia Spencer) helps them as much as she can. There’s also a teacher of Mary named Bonnie (portrayed by Jenny Slate) who is deeply involved in the development of the girl and sincerely interested in her uncle.
