Barbershop: The Next Cut Release Date

A decade has passed since the last appointment at the barbershop. The previous part of the franchise is called “Barbershop 2: Back to Business”. It was released in 2004. The continuation is going to reunite the original cast with some more new faces added. “Barbershop: The Next Cut” reunites our beloved actors: Cedric the Entertainer, Ice Cube and Eve.

There’ll be some new faces in the story including Common and Nicki Minaj. A big set of images with Nicki Minaj is already available all along with the official trailer. These characters used to work in the Southern part of Chicago living the best time of their lives. In the new episode of the franchise, they are going to stand gang violence which is a great surprise for the fans.

The release date of the film is 15th of April, 2016.

ACTORS

Ice Cube will play Calvin Palmer, Nicki Minaj will portray Draya, Common will act as Rashad, Anthony Anderson as J.D., Deon Cole as Dante, Regina Hall as Angie, Utkarsh Ambudkar as Raja, Garcelle Beauvais will probably portray Loretta (rumored), Jordanne Calvin will be the Barbershop Patron and Eve will act as Terri.

Plot

The last appointment in Calvin’s barbershop was more than 10 years ago. Calvin’s crew is still there but lots of changes happened through the years. The company of men will be diluted with the ladies’ flavor. There’ll be drama and gossip – the characters will have to break through complications appearing at every turn. The business is quite successful, but Calvin’s crew has to stand the gang situation in their neighborhood. Don’t forget to watch the official trailer for more details!

The gang situation in the film is the same as the real situation in Chicago right now.

The third part of the film took only two months to get created.

Ice Cube and Common working together in one film were the centers of a long and rivalry trying to beat each other in Rap career. It was in the 90’s. Some people say that Louis Farrakhan participated in bringing a piece in the relations between the two men.

The previous part of the franchise was created 10 years ago.

The film was created in Atlanta, not in Chicago.
